The Battle of Martin was a military confrontation between Maximusian troops and Bjeorgite Insurgents in Martin, Bjeorg. The battle began as an amphibious military landing by Maximusian marines in the early evening of July 30th, 1991 at the Martin beachhead. Maximusian forces were able to secure the city by sundown, but faced unexpected casualties to entrenched insurgent positions armed with smuggled Xiomeran and Lauchenoirian artillery. The operation was the first major land battle of the 1991 Bjeorg Conflict.
