The Salad Land Lizard Capture Service is a government agency in Salad Land set up in July 2023 with the aim of catching a number of "quick, bitey" lizards that became loose in Salad Land after escaping off a ship heading to Zargothrax. The service currently has six employees, of which five are human and one is a parrot. None of the service's employees are Saladian citizens.
Lizards[edit | edit source]
Exactly 400 lizards escaped from the Cosmic Paragon. They are a species native to the wilds of southern Neria which are known for their propensity to bite humans, though their bites are harmless. They are also known to move extremely fast. King Shapur XIV of Zargothrax is known to import them in bulk to Zargothrax as part of his experiments to "genetically engineer a dragon". This was the intended destination of the Cosmic Paragon when it stopped to refuel in Salad Land.

Uniforms[edit | edit source]
Human employees of the Salad Land Lizard Capture Service wear lizard-themed uniforms. These include green t-shirts with a picture of a lizard on the front, the back of which has the name of the service. Employees also wear hats with knitted lizards on top, and have a lizard tail attached to their shorts or trousers. The single parrot employee also wears a lizard hat.
Employees[edit | edit source]
The SLLCS has six employees, of which four are adult humans, one is a juvenile human, and one is a parrot. The full list of employees was published online by José, one of the group, and shared by an influencer vacationing in Salad Land, and is as follows:
- Yousef Chaher - Chief Lizard Catcher, responsible for ensuring that the other employees are catching lizards. Son of former Lauchenoirian dictator Suleman Chaher. Joint Lauchenoirian-Serrielan citizen.
- José (surname unknown) - Lauchenoirian citizen
- Cranston (first name unknown) - Lauchenoirian citizen.
- Citlalnite - Huenyan citizen.
- Princess Leila - newest employee. 11 years old. Thraxian princess.
- Tlotli - parrot.
In addition to the SLLCS direct employees, the service is overseen by Officer Marc Boisselot of the Salad Land Police Service who is credited with the foundation of the service. Two Saladian guards are also assigned to Princess Leila, who first came to Salad Land as an envoy from her father following the outbreak of the Thraxian-Saladian War.
