June Peters (born 23 August 1981) is a Lauchenoirian actress best known for her role in the award-winning 2017 film The Economics of Love. She won the award of Best Actor at the 2018 IDU Film Festival for her role as Josephine Gardiner, a Liberal MP who was killed in the communist revolution, in The Economics of Love. She has been acting since the age of 7, in which she played Lucy Lee, the daughter of the main characters in the popular sitcom A Swarm of Butterflies which followed a family living in rural Lauchenoiria and their escapades.
Early life and education[edit | edit source]
Peters was born in Summersea in August of 1981 during a severe heatwave. Her mother became very sick following childbirth, however managed to recover. Peters attended her local primary school for two years, while attending acting classes at the weekend. After landing the role of Lucy Lee, she was given a special permit to leave school and was instead educated further by private tutors while working on set.
Early career[edit | edit source]
Due to the popularity of A Swarm of Butterflies, Peters was in high demand for roles throughout her childhood, and this continued into adulthood. She starred in a number of sitcoms and other television shows until she landed her first film role at the age of nineteen; moving to Buttercity alone.
