Ecanta is a western province of Lauchenoiria, and was historically an independent country until it was colonised by Valahandia from 1417 until the 1760s. Ecanta was then briefly independent again until they were invaded by their neighbour Costeno. In 1922, Ecanta became part of Lauchenoiria.
