The Director of the Sanctarian Intelligence Service serves as the head of the Sanctarian Intelligence Service (SIS), which is part of the Sanctarian intelligence community. The Director is appointed by the Secretary for Homeland Security, to whom she reports directly, and is confirmed by the Sanctarian Senate. Regular reports are also made to the Chancellor of Sanctaria upon request.
The Director is appointed for a five year term, which is renewable. Once nominated by the Homeland Security secretary, the nominee must be confirmed by the Senate of Sanctaria, either in an open or closed-door session. The Director regularly reports to Parliament on the actions of the SIS and is ultimately responsible for the service.
