Maximusian Great Trout

The LOM does not have any anthropomorphic animals, like many nations of the IDU. However, we have unusually large trout. They are at their biggest during the autumn season. In addition, the trout are slightly thinner than regular trout and have more pointed dorsal fins.

Our zooologists have no idea why the fish are like this, however, they suspect that it has something to do with the fact that Libertas Omnium Maximus has very cold rivers and lakes. They are about 5% colder than any other nation in the IDU. The low temperatures prevent certain types of bacteria from growing in the water and potentially infecting our trout. We assume that the fact that our trout are less likely to become sick allows them to grow larger than regular fish.

The unfortunate side effect of never being exposed to many bacteria is that our trout have extreamly weak immune systems. Therefor, they often die in droves when exposed to low levels of toxic runoff.
