The Progressive Party Schism was a political event that happened in 1957 after the break-in, and bugging of both the Communist Party, and the Democratic Alliance. Several high ranking political officials were impeached, and arrested, including the president of Boemont, Yves Séraphin, and the President of Mariso, Filomena Ambra. The resulting collapse of the Progressive Party lead to the communist achieving victory in almost every presidential race at the time, resulting in restructuring of the government into the United Socialist Districts of Wosteaque.
