The Supreme Workers' Council is a unicameral chamber that is the highest organ of state power in Nahrava. There are 283 members of the Supreme Workers' Council, elected from a variety of different sources via indirect elections.

The Supreme Workers' Council was established in 1948 following the proclamation of the Provisional People's Republic by communist revolutionaries, marking the start of the Great Socialist Revolution. With the ratification of a socialist constitution in 1950, the Council was reaffirmed as the legislature of Nahrava and the highest source of state power. As a result, all other governmental institutions are subservient to the Supreme Workers' Council, at least in theory. Some of the Council's many powers include its lawmaking powers, the ability to amend the constitution, and the appointment of officeholders, including the Premier and the Council of Ministers, high-level judges, and military officials.

The Communist Party of Nahrava, being the constitutionally recognised vanguard party of the Nahravan socialist system, has a sizeable majority, but a number of minor sectional interest parties also hold seats in the chamber.
