"Our Army" is the official song of the Wosteaquean National Army.

History

The march was created by Eléonore Blanche-Waleria a Workers' Party member, and a Corporal in the Wosteaquean National Army. The march was created in 1955, and was adopted as the official song of the Wosteaquean National Army in 1971. The march takes several parts of earlier works from the liberation wars.

Lyrics

1.

If disaster suddenly breaks out in the (Fatherland)(Motherland)[a],

A soldier will sound the trumpet

Our army — forever will you guard the republics!

You, my heart, and fate above all!

Refrain:

A weight upon destiny for those in the military

War is harsh but it is true as true can be

We're all ready for military service

We all! We all have seen our share,

Our share of battle marches and declare!

We, from the soldier to the general, are all one family

2.

Our army with us in a marching formation!

With our songs about orange sashed soldiers[b]

The first day of the war and the victory fireworks

And the fate of our deceased parents...

Refrain

3.

Life remains young as we dash through the years

The trumpets never cease their call

Our army — you're always on guard!

You, my heart, and fate above all!

Refrain

  1. Either Fatherland or Motherland can be used as both are considered official ways to describe Wosteaque.
