History

Esiliean Age of Discoverie

In 1363 Queen Isabella hired several explorers to sail west into the Olympic Ocean after she had dreamed of lands filled with riches, famed explorer Edvaldo Óscar was tasked to lead the expedition. Edvaldo was given eight heavy carracks taken from the Royal Esiliean Navy, and along with his own personal fleet, took off from the port of Valoca on February 11th, 1363 to celebrate the countries founding. The voyage restocked on March 2 in the Straits of Tearvan. According to the journals of Edvaldo, the voyage then went seven months without seeing landing until they reached the Guesnau Strait between Frésir and Boemont on October 9. They then landed around the modern district of Mühllohn. The voyage spent four months exploring the southern coast of the Frésir and Boemont, it was on was of these explorations that Edvaldo split from the voyage, and landed his personal ship, the "Protetor do mar" somewhere in eastern Frésir, to explore the interior of the land. That same month a storm, which was described as "the most horrible storm anyone had saw" hit southern Frésir. This storm, which is thought to be a hurricane and are common in the area, caused half of the voyage fleet to wreck on the shores of Frésir. The interim leader of the voyage made the decision to take remaining fleet back to Esilie, while the rest of the sailors that have been shipwrecked were to make shelter until a second voyage could rescue them. This shelter would eventually become the city of Zlento. The voyage would arrive in Esilie on August 1st, 1364. The elected leader, explorer Alexandrina Luzia, told the queen of the vast lands that she had saw, rich with new wildlife. She also made the claim that this land was uninhabited by people, although this would later be proved untrue. A second voyage was launched on February 11th, 1365 to formally claim, and settle the lands for the Empire of Esilie.

Areas of Wosteaque that at one point were apart of the Empire of Esilie. Light red is claimed territory, red is settled territory, and dark red is territory that was held after a area declared independence.
