The Seollim Guide is an annually updated series of guide books that have been published since 1898 and have been released by the Seollim Group since 1975. The guidebooks provide a variety of rankings on notable tourist attractions, but are most noted for its review of restaurants, for which it uses a ranking system from one to three stars. These rankings, known as Seollim Stars, are one the most prestigious culinary awards in the International Democratic Union. Restaurants which receive Seollim Stars are generally recognized as amongst the best in the world and the acquisition or loss of a star often has major implications on the reputation of restaurants' head chefs. The Seollim Guide is published in Anfa, Haesan.
