Huscar Sun

Overview

The Dominion of Huscar Sun is a theocratic democracy based on the Huscar religion. It is home to 10 million, mostly Ethnic Huscar people. Not much is known about Huscar Sun outside of the Huenya region thanks to its policy of no foreign citizenship and limited entry and exit. It is ruled by the Sapa Huscar and the Realm Council.

History

Not much is known about the early history of Huscar Sun, and much of it may be mythical in nature. According to legend in 1000 BCE, the Realm of Existence was created by Hus, he then retreated to heaven leaving holy spots in his wake in the most extreme points of Huscar. The first societies may have developed in 1100 from the peoples of Huenya. However, around 1300 the Ascension Wars began, between the Kingdom of Huscar and the Southern Kingdoms. In the end, Huscar won the war encompassing them into their culture, their capital Nussca has not been rediscovered, and may have been destroyed. The first clear date is 1498 at least in common years, in the Huscarian calendar Year 1. The year the Empire of Huscar Sun was formed, its government and regulations, and law have survived mostly to today. From then on the rules of government were passed from father to son, to maintain control through much of history, Sapa Huscar had many wives so that their bloodlines could remain. In 1660, the Sapa Civil War began when the sons from various mothers raised armies over spite for each other, they fought for almost a decade before a New Sapa managed to secure the throne. He then changed rules so that the Sapa was decided by the Sapa Ancha, the religious organization instead of by bloodline. In 1880, one Sapa decided that to succeed as the Huscarian state collapsed was to invade its surrounding regions, such as the farming kingdoms of Cunvi and Vapa, he invaded both committing mass sacrifices of his victims. In 1898, he declared the Dominion of Huscar Sun, over the next few decades, the nation modernized internally, creating a closed market economy and strengthening government services. In 1971, the country went into Civil War after a faction of temples attempted to gain control. At the end of the brief, 10-month conflict, a new government was created. This government embraced technological advancements and also expanded the countries military capabilities. In 2015, Sapa Amaru took the power of Huscar Sun, he quickly created One Huscar TV to serve as a government media outlet, he also began to test ID Chips and verification software as well as uses of drones and other security technologies. In 2019, various rebel groups began to stage small raids through the country, in response, the government quickly pushed forward harsher regulations, it also introduced Bitcoin as currency replacing the Huscar Dollar overnight. Huscar also became less isolationist by promoting its cultures and ideals abroad through the study of non-Huscar languages. In 2021, Huscar sent a large fleet into the Nearus Sea.

Geography and Climate

Huscar is located mostly within the Huscar Pleatu, a large raised area formed by the Viru Mountains, it forms long valleys that form the borders of Huscar Sun. In the West is Western Syun, a mostly flatter region with desert and grasslands, along the mountains is the Vana River the forms the valleys of the country in a large network of rivers and creeks. Suyn Central is located along the Vana River along the slow-rising flat plain. The mountains there form a bowl as you go further North until it forms a narrow peninsula across the strait from Legionas. The climate is a mostly temperate rainforest with it becoming a cooler climate the higher in the mountains you go.

Culture and Population

Huscar has around 12 million citizens, mostly in the valleys of the Vana River. The largest cities are Vana City with 750,000 people, Suyn Central with 500,000 people, Hurcan in the west with 300,00 people, and the City of the Sun with 250,000 people. Outside of these, there are a number of smaller towns and villages. Each village has a temple along with a local mayor and a local distribution center. Their distribution centers are the centerpieces of the economy of Huscar Sun. 75% of people are classified as Ethnically Huscarian, with the other 25% being classified as "lower groups" this term is only used in Huscar Sun, but it means the various other ethnic groups, many of which are in servitude to the government. Huscarian culture is very homogenous, with so-called "outsider culture" banned, Religion is the centerpiece of much of culture as it's a part of everyday life, your attendance at the temple reflects on how society sees you. If you attend the temple sparsely society will look down upon you. The Arts are very limited outside of those organized by Sapa Huscar Bureau, with media often being state-owned, talent in arts or sport is projected at a young age and it capitalized on in various camps. This is done to promote Patriotism as success in arts and in sport is met with national attention. Socially most Huscarians are conservatives, with divorce, contraception, and homosexuality being illegal.

Govermeant

The government is divided into the industry sector and the executive sectors. The Sapa Huscar or Lord of the Realm of Huscar Sun, is very powerful, they are picked by Sapa Hau the state religious body. The Sapa Huscar can overrule anything done by anyone and has no restrictions on his power, the reasoning behind this by Huscar is often that the Sapa is chosen by Hus, the god of the sun, and thus should deserve power. There is the legislative body the Realm Council, half is from the Sapa Hau while the other half is voted on by members of the Sapa Hau, this leaves much of the little democratic flow, though voter engagement is high to high amounts of nationalism. Meanwhile, the industry sector is various state-owned companies in charge of various things such as Roads, Energy, Fishing. These bodies account for 90% of all companies in Sapa Huscar with only localized business being private though in agreement with a supplier of goods.

Security and Miltary

Military Service is mandatory for 18-year-olds and you either must join a military agency or attend highly-selective colleges within the Sapa Hau.
