Bayview is the Largest City in the Kingdom of Legionas and the former capital of the nation, being the seat of government from 1859 to 2019, when it was moved to Aunistria. The city has a population of 10.17 million citizens in its administrative limits and a further 7.9 million within its metropolitan zone, making it one of the largest and most diverse cities in the International Democratic Union. It is located in Southern Legionas, bordering Hevataneo Bay and thus, the Horadam Sea.

Founded in the mid to late 13th Century by High Chief Hutaro IV, a Telucti High Chief, the city is regarded as one of the oldest in the nation. The city soon became a major trade zone on the Legionite Coast, being one of the feeder cities for the Horadam Road, allowing it to grow exponentially within a relatively short period of time. The outer environs of the city, thanks to favorable conditions, became a bustling region filled with farmland as far as the eye could see. The city exported mainly agricultural produce until the late 1700's when it was captured by the Kingdom of Legionas in a war that saw the subjugation of the Telucti Kingdom. The city soon became an important industrial center during the Industrial Revolution, with a thriving shipbuilding and gold mining industry. The city became the capital of Legionas in 1859 following a decree from King Philip I. The city thrived for decades, thanks to large scale redevelopment of the area to fit modern standards. The city was the scene of one of the most brutal battles of the Legionite Civil War, leaving a large section of it damaged. The city saw another period of growth during the 1940's and 50's, becoming the hub of the Legionite Shipbuilding industry as well as a key munition manufacturing area. The city was affected by the Great War as Xiomeran Fighter Jets bombarded the city in several bombing campaigns, almost completely crippling its industry. Following the Great War the city saw a population boom, at a time when the government was encouraging the growth of families to replace the population lost during the war. The city saw a recession in the 80's, with it being hit hard by Black Thursday. In the 1990's, then Minister of Infrastructure, Sean Andrews proposed a plan to move the capital city to the less populated interior. Though many lawmakers fiercely protested, mostly those from Bayview itself, the choice was made and following two decades of work under three different administrations, the capital city was moved officially from Bayview to Aunistria.

Bayview has the largest municipal GDP in the country, although it's position at the top is being challenged by other cities such as Moense, Sherfield and Christiania. It is the headquarters of several multinational companies such as LP, Orcacast, Aegir Line and LegionAir. The home of many universities and institutes, it is the second-largest center of research and development in the Kingdom, falling behind Moense for the first time in 2020, contributing for around 15% of national scientific output according to 2020 data.

Bayview is one of the most visited cities in Catica, with conference Tourism as well as Culture Tourism being the main attractions in the city. The city was voted the leading conference tourism destination from 2015-2019, with the government making calculated steps to ensure the city retains its title. The city hosts various events such as the annual OnyxFest, The Bayview Marathon and Bayview Coffee Expo among others. Bayview has an expansive and streamlined public transit system, as well as the largest airport in Catica -Bayview International Airport as well as an active port. The city is also connected to the Greater South Legionas Rail System.
