The current Gladysynthian flag was adopted on 18 May, 2014, after Tetrazoa rejoined the Gladysynthian union after nearly 25 years of autonomy. There are many symbols evident in this flag. First of all, the four green triangles that mark the outline of the middle yellow diamond represent the four kingdoms that prospered during the Second Age of Gladysynthian history. The seven stars in the center of the flag represent each of the seven provinces. Lastly, the four-sided star in the top left corner represents the capital city of Mönusÿnthys.
