The party counts former President Nicholas Brennan and Prime Minister Tanvi Misra as members. The Progressive Party is currently the second-largest party in the Assembly of Commons and the General Assembly.
History
The Progressive Party was formed following the 1952 coup attempt known as the Bloody Summer by Zhou Wei-lin of the so-called Gang of Five, the five leftist leaders who had dominated Laeralian politics during the Republican period. Edmond Yeoh and Matthieu Dallaire were co-founders.
