The SFP is an independent agency of the Department of Justice and is responsible to the Secretary of State for Justice and accountable to the Federal Parliament of Sanctaria. The police force was established in January 2020, succeeding the Sanctarian Police Force. The inaugural Commissioner of the Sanctarian Federal Police is Henry Wallace, who was formerly the Commissioner of the Sanctarian Police Force.
