Anthony Edwin Marsden served as Gladysynthia's second Premiere from 1949 until 1956 after being elected from his home province of Darapherma. Throughout his campaign, Marsden became known mainly for his incredibly persuasive speeches and enticing promises of political reform. When it came to his premiership, he delivered mostly on these promises, with reform and crackdown on political corruption, especially in the federal government, and mounumental allocation of funding to the nation's fairly large but underdeveloped education program.
