'''The Slokasian Collegiate Sports Association''' (SCSA) is the largest college athletic association in Slokais, with three divisions: '''National''', '''Division 1''' and '''Division 2'''. Each division is based on the size and athletic budget of each school, with the National Division being the most important. In the sport of Drywall Ball, which is the most popular collegiate sport, there has been a National Champion declared every year since 1978.

===Championship Game Era (1978-1980)===
In 1978, a match was held between New Liverpool University and San Fernando University, the team’s going 13-1 and 14-0 respectively in the Collegiate Drywall Ball League (CDBL), which consisted of 8 teams. The fixture was the same in 1979 and 1980, until the 1981 season when the CDBL was replaced by the SCSA’s various conferences hosting their own teams.

===Combined Poll Era (1981-1992)===
Increased student demand meant that in the 1981 season, there were 37 teams across 6 conferences, with each conference having a champion. The SCSA did not organize a national championship due to differences in quality between leagues. Instead, there was an organized effort by DBall Magazine and the New Liverpool Daily to create a poll that used column polling and a panel of experts to decide a national champion. This has led to a renewed effort in recent years for some schools to claim National Championships in specific seasons. The most agreed-upon metric remains the DBall/NLD Poll.

===Bowl System Era (1993-2004)===
During this era, 4 winter-bowl games were declared as “National Championship Qualifiers" with the "best performing team" being the National Champion. Additionally, the SCSA implemented a National Championship system across all 3 of its divisions. This was extremely controversial, as in certain season's the team with the best record would not win the national championship, teams from the "Group of 4" as the level of competition was deemed to be lower.

===SCSA Tournament Era (2005-===
Since 2005, the National Championship has been determined by a 16-team playoff; the champions of each division qualify automatically, and additionally, the 8 best ranked team's, which were not champions of there conference (typically this has been teams from the UNL League 1 and Valley Athletic Conference or the Catholic Athletic Conference). Each game is conducted as a best-of-3 until the National Championship Game, which is held at the National Stadium.
