==Background== The [[Kaijan League]], a Islamic pro-Kaijan militia organization was formed in 2016. The stated goal of the group upon it's founding was to secure independence for Kaijan by force. Although the idea of Kaijanese separatism has existed in some form since 1892. Including during the First and [[Second Kaijan War]], as well a period of brief independence from 1965-1968. Intel has revealed the Kaijan League started planning the November 20 Attacks as soon as 2019. Led by Muammar Al-Hamzi, a wealthy businessman who had been active although not involved in prior Kaijanese movements. Al-Hamzi argued prior movements had ignored political Islam and only stood for the liberation of Kaijan not for the restoration of Islamic law which governed Kaijan prior to 1840. In addition, the Kaijanese economy while being fairly productive saw concentrated wealth in the hands of around 5% of the population. In the eyes of Nationalists, the richest people in Kaijan where all non-Kaijanese or "Al-Ghayr " who where holding the island back. In terms of development the failure of multiple administrations development programs led to large portion of the population being dissatisfied with the central government. Socially, political Islam rallied against "outside values" being pushed upon the Kaijanese people. While there had been a peacekeeping force in South Kaijan after 2008, the transition of duties to local police is widely believed to have allowed armed groups such as the Kaijan League to raise arms. In June of 2020, a string of Federal officers was killed while on duty in a span of several weeks raising concerns. This led to other province's providing rotating deployments of there Provincial Guard to act as police units. In September, the Kaijan League held a rally in North Kaijan which called for economic power to be shifted to Kaijanese people. This raised some concern in the Ministry of Justice, who per a 2022 Report began surveillance on the group.
