==Beginning==

On February 1st, 2018, the Confederate Dominion of Separatist Peoples announced<ref>https://www.nationstates.net/page=rmb/postid=29222755</ref> that hostilites had broken out between the CDSP and Bigtopia, warning that vessels heading to the area should change course, and that both conventional and chemical weapons were in use in the vicinity. This led to a number of nations condemning the use of chemical weapons<ref>https://www.nationstates.net/page=display_region_rmb/region=international_democratic_union?start=8800</ref> and debating sanctions against the CDSP.
