The '''Archdiocese of Sanctus''' ([[wiki:Latin|Latin]]: ''Archidioecesis Sanctensis'') is the ecclesiastical district under the direct jurisdiction of the [[Patriarch of the Church of Sanctaria|Patriarch]], who is Archbishop of Sanctus and hence the head of the worldwide [[Church of Sanctaria|Sanctarian Catholic Church]]. The Archdiocese, or See, is located entirely within the geopolitical borders of [[Sanctus]], the [[capital city]] and a [[States of Sanctaria|city state]] of [[Sanctaria]]. The Archdiocese of Sanctus is the metropolitan diocese of the Province of Sanctus, an ecclesiastical province in [[Sanctaria]]. The first archbishop of Sanctus is generally accepted to be Julius, the founder of the Church of Sanctaria, in the tenth century. The incumbent since 21 September 2018 is Patriarch [[Patriarch Luke VI|Luke VI]].

Historically, with the exception of Julius, only men born in what is now considered Sanctaria have served as archbishops of Sanctus. Between 1380 and 1974, the archbishop of Sanctus, as patriarch, served as head and Sovereign of temporal entities; from 1380 as head of Papal Kingdom of Sanctaria, and from 1528 as the sovereign of the Papal States of Sanctaria.

It is the metropolitan archdiocese of the Sanctus ecclesiastical province and primatial see of Sanctaria. The cathedral is the Basilica of SSt. George in Heaven. The primate of Sanctaria is the patriarch, holding primacy of honor over the rest of the Sanctarian sees, and also primacy of jurisdiction over all other worldwide Sanctarian Catholic episcopal sees.
