A tale of Two Josephs: A Slokais Islands Story
#1

March 22nd, 1978
Lai Zhang and her son, were watching TV within their house in Central Valley.
"What Howard Xiang is doing is admirable at best," said Joseph Zhang
"Look, be glad we don't have that Marxist Juan Costa," said Lai
"But is Howard Xiang, really better I mean I support his social ideas, but is his economic policies will not fix Slokais"
"Joseph you were too young, to know the worst of the revolution"
"Are you going to except Howard Xiang, to run the country"
"Look, your father will not be happy if you say these things around him"
"So its the truth"
Joseph Zhang had lived in the mansion on the hill since he was born in 1965, his family came from generations of politicians and local figures, his uncle Richard Zhang was the pastor at the local church. His uncle often spoke about how we must never go back to the evils of Juan Costa and his regime and that the Left Party was the successors of Juan Costa. Yet unlike many in Slokais, his family's time under Juan Costa was not nearly as bad as others, as his family was rich enough to just bribe the police to turn a blind eye. Yet many within their own neighborhood has not been as lucky, they spoke up against the government, despite what his mother had said Juan Costa was not actually a Marxist, rather he drew from the works of Karl Mark and then used it to get people to agree with him then took those ideas to an authoritarian level.
"I heard you spoke ill of Howard Xiang"
"Yes, father I did because what he is doing well not help Slokais"
Verano Zhang was a Member of the Conservative Party as well as being on the Township Council. Those around him described him as a man, who thought he deserved respect from all, many on the Council feared his powerful will.
"Son, if these ideas continue I will have to stop it"
"Okay, father but you should really think about it"
"What did you say" yelled Verano
"Nothing I will just leave-"
"You are a child you have power over what I do, I will decide for myself," Verano said his tone rising
"I am sorry, father"
"Good, dont let that happen again next time I won't be so nice next time"

Joseph Chavez was at his High School, 32nd South High. He was the head of the student government and was talking about the new rep within the Centrist Party that was gaining interest.
"Yeah, he already has so much power, despite it being his first year," said a classmate of Joseph
"And from Central Valley, yeah Silverado has become a political hotbed with him and Sean Khan," he said
"Hey, are you going to North Bank FC game, tonight," his friend asked
"Maybe, my shift as Sun Mart ends at 6 pm"
"Alright, cool say ya at the game"
Joseph Chavez was born in New Liverpool, with both parents being middle-class. Esmeralda Chavez was the franchise owner of the Sun Mart he worked at while his father worked for the New Liverpool Metro.

The Sun Mart was located at the intersection of 33rd Ave South and Wallace St. Joseph put on his orange vest and got behind the counter where his mother was
"How was school"
"Good, Mom"
"Good, can you man the counter while taking stuff out of the backroom?
"Sure," he said
The store was somewhat busy with most people inside coming off work often grabbing some of the hot items.
"Hey, how do these Metro Card machines work," said a man in a suit
He walked over and he recognized who it was, it was Joseph Zhang
"Oh, sure Mr. Zhang"
"Oh, wow you recognize me"
"Yeah, I am really interested in Politics"
"You should run for office when your older"
"Why, thanks sir"
"Alright, I was having issues with the MetroCard machine"
"Yeah, Let me mess with it real quick"
Soon, the machine inside the store was fixed
"Here ya go
"Hey, Kid what party do you support"
"Centrist Party"
"I think there are Young Centrists branches around here, you should use the public computer over there to find our web address"

On January 2nd, 2009, the first meeting of the Centrist Party was held, though they had failed to win the presidency they had become the new opposition party over the Left Party. However there were issues to be addressed, first, the party had two factions, the more conservative bloc of Jospeh Zhang then the more Left Bloc of Adam Vela. Freshmen Rep, 29-year-old Joseph Chavez has been called the future by many within the party and looked to align himself with more Left Bloc. On top of the was the job of picking a Shadow-Cabinet in the event they won the House. It looked as if the Freshmen Jospeh Chavez was going to get some position to get some of the bases fired up.
"Now, we are to the point, where we give smaller positions," said Joseph Zhang to some of his colleagues
"Okay, The Left Party has given as the ability to fill to Transport Positions," said Adam Vela
"Well, Joseph Chavez did make it a point of his to focus on rail services, so I think we can give him the Secretary of Rail Transport," said Joseph Zhang
"Yeah, sounds good you can go tell him while I move onto some other positions," said Adam Vela
Joseph Zhang walked through the Capitol Building and into the House Office Building, he then walked up some stairs and found the office of Joseph Chavez.
He knocked on the door
"Come in," said the other Jospeh from inside
"Just here to welcome you to your new office," he said
"Thanks, just getting to my emails"
"You don't really have to answer those"
"What?"
"Nevermind, I just wanted to say and recognized you from somewhere, though from where I don't know"
"Oh right we have met before, back in 95 you were at the Sun Mart I was working at"
"Oh, really I did not think some from there could make it up here"
"What do you mean"
"Just that you came from the background to make it here is impressive"
"I am just going to ignore that, what else?"
"Just talked with Party Leadership, your Shadow Rail Transport Sec"
"Well thank you for telling me that, what do I do exactly"
"You can write our party policy on that as well as respond to whenever the Rail Sec does something"
"Okay, thanks for granting me this position"

March 8th, 2016, New Liverpool Convention Center
"Hello, This is Michelle Walford of SIBC News, voting is taking place right now among Centrist Party Members. In a backroom, officials are counting ballots mailed in by party members"
Meanwhile, in a conference room, Joseph Chavez sat with his team around him, despite him running against an incumbeat, in the last 8 years had grown from freshmen to a main political piece, that was leading a movement within the Centrist Party, earlier that day a few members walked out and joined other parties, some said they would start there own party. Now it was up to the Centrist Party voters to decide who would run the ticket. In the last few months, he had gotten death threats from the most hardcore Joseph Zhang supporters. They had used racial slurs and even his cousin's car was spraypainted with racial slurs. Despite this Jospeh Zhang still remained popular, though many said he was drifting into the Conservative Party values.
A staffer walked in.
"Mr. Trasnport Minister"
"Yes"
"Votes are about to be announced"
"Got it"
Joseph Chavez looked at his wife and their young baby daughter and their son then around at his family and many of his close allies.
In the main conference hall, a man in glasses and a grey suit walked up onto the stage. He then motioned for silence.
"We are ready to announce the voter totals"
"With, 890,678,894 votes the Centrist Party candidate is..Joseph Chavez"
The main hall began to erupt with cheers and boos, some even threw items at the stage with many free water bottles being used as projectiles, the man ran inside flanked by security as the event police ran into the break-up the various fights going on within the room.
Joseph Chavez and his entourage were quickly escorted by security as people yelled slurs at Joseph Chavez. "I will never vote for a Costeno Idiot," said one woman as she tried to punch a security officer. Though a lot of the crowd looked happy as Jospeh Chavez was lead out a back staircase "Joseph Chavez for President" they chanted.
Across the building, Joseph Zhang sat down and reached for his phone, "Could you something for me" he said.

At the base of Pine Hills Towers Apartment Complex, 7 gang members ented the building.
"Are you a resident?" said a protective service officer
One man in a grey coat showed his gun to him" Take a guess"
His buddies then drew their guns
"Call for backup and you're dead," they said
They grabbed his gun and then walked out, leaving one man behind to make sure he did not pull anything
However, another officer saw what happened and pulled out his gun
For the next few minutes, the bottom floor of the apartment became a gun battle.
Once it became clear the more backup was on the way, the gang began to flee while being flowed by service agents.
They ran into a back alley between buildings, the gang members trying to block the path behind them by pushing over boxes. Then they ended up on the next street over. Then a car pulled up and the gang jumped in however agents in pursuit managed to grab one of the members as he was entering the car. The car speed off leaving their fellow member behind.

At Presidential Palace in New Liverpool, he was contacted this his parent's apartment was attacked by unknown gang memebers. His mind then flashbacked to what Joseph Zhang said to him a few days ago, "Karma shall befall those you love if you dont what I say".
Joseph Chavez called Joseph Zhang:
"Where are you, right now"
"In my office"
"BS, your not there stop lying to me Zhang"
"Your right, I am at my home"
"You only left a few hours ago, how are you home"
"The train home ran on time today"
"I doubt that, you left only an hour ago, where are you Zhang"
Joseph Zhang did not respond
"Answer me goddammit"
Still no response
"Fuck you, Zhang," he said as he ended the phone call
At that moment Sean Khan entered the room
"Mr. President it's Laeral they declared war on Laucheroria"
"Be down in the command center in a moment"

The Command Center showed a replaying statement from the Laerlian Govermeant.
"What about Gonhog Forces?" he asked
"They have landed and are working with Sulman Chahears govermeant"
"Okay, have Slokasians all left the country?"
"Yes, they all left this morning"
