How did you find the IDU in the first place, and what made you want to move here?
I was unhappy with all the other regions and just typed in "democratic" in the region search box. It came up with some other regions, but the IDU caught my eye. I moved here straight away and have lived here ever since.

I was active in the NSUN with one of my older nations, and interacted quite a bit with various IDU members there. I'd been putting puppets into differing regions almost since I joined the game, and this one went onto my list... and when I decided to create this nation, the fact that this region's general ethos suggested it would be more welcoming to a non-human nation than some others might be made it a fairly obvious choice.

I've been around the NSUN for a while, and interacted with various IDU members (in particular Mikitivity and Grosseschnauzer). What with Enn's government shifting into a significantly more democratic system, it seemed like a good regional home.

I discovered the IDU shortly after it's founding - finding the reasons for it's split from the North Pacific intriguing and in line with my personal feeling on the matter.

When the roleplaying region I was in began its death throws, I decided that I wanted somewhere where I could explore the democratic side of Sidh Ohn in a semi-roleplay environment, and so did a region search for "democratic". Of the results the IDU looked like the best.

I got recruited by Sober Thought, lured here by the promise of flags. Ah, the good old days .

^ As Baranxtu said. Sober Thought sent me a recruitment telegram for my original nation, Jonquiere-Tadoussac. As the name, motto, and money/animal were all French based, he even though enough to send it in French, which was detail that attracted me. He was quite the recruiter!
