Oh, and if we need more teams, I could have a happy ultra-Christian team from South Antrium.

And I know, NSwiki hasn't worked for me in several days. But the article is there, I assure you.

I've started an article on Saidercray's team. Topically, it only includes a short list of the players, but some more information will be added.

We only need three more teams, so I'd encourage you and Barantxu to both consider entering your puppet(s). Smile It will help flesh out them as well as the games.

MikitivitySep 8 2006, 08:31 PM I'd appreciate it if somebody else would carry the games in their national newspapers. [/quote]
I intend to publish articles about the matches of the Saidercrayan team in Saidercray Today.

Of course, the player of the other nation of a game can influence the article - send me a list with everything you don't like about my report on the game, and I'll retouch the article according to it. E. g., if you want one of your players to score by a great bycicle kick and not by a simple header - write it to me!

I'd like to propose that we do a dual championship versues nations in the Red Sox Nation region to increase activity between our regions. They inquired about an increase in activity and I think that this would be a good idea. They are VERY active, one of our most active alliances, and I could easily get at least five of them to participate. Maybe after our championship, we can have our top three verse their top three or something.

It would increase friendly ties. Smile

I think most of us at RSN do less roleplay stuff and more real-life soccer (fantasy premiership league on yahoo.com right now) but I'm sure some people would be interested. Thanks for the offer! :funky_pisang:

OK, it is time to start scheduling the events.

There will be two divisions of 6 teams each. The first round will include 5 games, with each team playing the other 5 teams in its division. The top 2 teams in each division will advance to single elimination championship series, with the top ranking team scheduled to play the lowest ranking qualifying team ... meaning all teams will play a min of 5 games, and 2 teams will play 7 games.

I hope this works.

I used a random letter sequence generator to come up with the match assignments.

http://www.dave-reed.com/Nifty/randSeq.html

s u x l h o k f d u b k t r x v l n a v a i v o t x

This means the team numbers are:

1. South Antrium
2. Saidercray
3. Otea
4. Keeslandia
5. Baranxtu
6. Antrium

(moving to second letter, since first letter not in sequence)
7. Gnejs
8. Malabra
9. Marvelot
10. Cikoutimi
11. Mikitivity
12. Ceorana

The scheduled games will be Oct. 10-14 and the championship match will be Oct. 17 and Oct. 20. Are those dates OK?

The schedule is as follows:

Oct. 10
Division 1:
1 - 2
3 - 4
5 - 6
Division 2:
7 - 8
9 - 10
11 - 12

Oct. 11
Division 1:
1 - 4
2 - 5
3 - 6
Division 2:
7 - 10
8 - 11
9 - 12

Oct. 12
Division 1:
1 - 3
2 - 6
4 - 5
Division 2:
7 - 9
8 - 12
10 -11

Oct. 13
Division 1:
1 - 6
2 - 4
3 - 5
Division 2:
7 - 12
8 - 10
9 - 11

Oct. 14
Division 1:
1 - 5
2 - 3
4 - 6
Division 2:
7 - 11
8 - 9
10 - 12

Oct. 17
TBA

Oct. 20
TBA

Winners will be selected first by win-loss, then by total goals scored minus goals lost. All matches will be held in Miervatia City, and travel and housing accomidations will be made for the teams via Mikitivity Bahn and its associated travel agencies. Smile

Exzellenter Plan Big Grin !

Just one little recommendation: especially for the match South Antrium - Baranxtu, I'd really tighten security... we don't want no fire, do we  ?

From Oct 8-15, I'm on holiday, so the reports about Saidercray's matches will be published some days after the matches took place, but that's no problem.

Well, if there are no objections .... pushing the games back an entire week is actually better for me.

You see, I started a new job today (though I'm a bit afraid ... they don't have paperwork for me yet) and my grandmother from Pennsylvania will be in state tomorrow ... having no car, it means I'm also having to bum rides and such, so things are pretty CRAZY for me right now. This is why it took me so long to get this going, and why I pushed it back that far. Another week will be fine by me.

How about this ... I'll push it back 1 week unless there is any single objection. Objections can be telegrammed or posted here. Private or public. Smile

Is anyone interested in a friendly match against the Saidercrayan national football team tomorrow or the day after tomorrow?

I've thought out a little plot around the team which begins with a friendly match. The events won't affect your national team in any way.
The match would be "played" like the championship's matches, by comparing the position in the UN ranking of the day of the match. The match will be held at the Crystal Park Stadium in Jallsborough.
