Hi there everyone. Xiomera and I discussed trying to get out a regional update this year and so I've started this thread to work on it. This will be a newspaper-style update that will be distributed to other regions.

Unfortunately, last year's attempt didn't end up happening, but I'm very grateful to [nation]Laeral[/nation] for the effort and to everyone who contributed articles to that, particularly [nation]United New England[/nation] who I know did a lot of work on it.

I'm inclined to stick to Laeral's suggestion of quarterly updates, but in order to make things more manageable, perhaps less articles overall than were proposed in the previous iteration of this thread.

Proposed Schedule
January: Winter
April: Spring
July: Summer
October: Autumn

I am of the opinion that we should have as many articles as people are willing to write, and as such I'd like to invite people to post topics they'd like to write about and we will see if we can include it in this update.

If you're interested in writing an article for this update, please reply in this thread with the topic you'd like to write on. Ideally, we will have all articles written by the 30th July so the update can go out on the last day of this month.

I am happy to write something up (or work with someone to write something up) about AoP and the delegate elections, as well as the new cabinet and what we have planned. Maybe we can add something about the IDUFC as well.

IDUFC sounds like a good idea! LOM, if you want to contribute you could either do the IDUFC article, or perhaps an interview, or an article about the wiki? Let me know which you prefer.

Xiomera, that sounds like a lot of articles but if you're willing to do so, that's great!

Eiria, also looking forward to reading what you write!

Everyone: it is probably prudent to start asap so we can finish by the end of the month, if that's ok? Particularly if you're doing an interview with someone in a radically different time zone, those can take a full week if the amount of hours both people are awake for is low.

With the creation of the AFFIDU, I would love to write articles focused on the IDU's sports - since LOM took the IDUFC role, I could probably put in a few articles on the planning of our continental club competitions, for example.

Eiria and Xiomera, both of you have signed up to write multiple things, which is great of course. I'm just wondering if you are both sure you will have sufficient time to devote to all those articles, given that Laeral and Legionas are both willing to write some things and don't have topics. I will message you about this on discord when it is a more reasonable time in the US in case you don't see this.

If you all could send me something by the 30th that would be much appreciated. Preferably between 100-500 words, most formats are acceptable. You can send them to me via discord or TG. If you have any further questions feel free to ask!
