The IDU States Assembly,
FIRMLY BELIEVING that it would be good for them to finally get off their lazy asses and do something for once,
HEREBY RESOLVES:
1. Elections for Delegate shall be held every six months. Should the incumbent Delegate resign or lose a confidence vote, the winner of the new election shall be entitled to serve a full six-month term, not merely the remainder of the previous term.
2. Candidates for Delegate shall be given at least one week to campaign for the position, either by telegram, dispatch, RMB posts, or debates/discussions/Q&A sessions held on the IDU forum.
3. Any candidate who engages in disruptive, abusive or dishonest conduct in his or her campaign shall be referred to the IDU Judiciary Committee for investigation.
4. A gameside poll of IDU residents shall be posted for at least five days by the Speaker, who may exclude votes from nations who are not IDUSA members. The Speaker shall publicly account for any vote excluded for this purpose, either on the RMB or IDU forum.
5. Following certification of the election by the Speaker, WA members may temporarily withdraw their endorsements of the outgoing Delegate, or the currently serving Vice Delegate, to ensure a speedy transition. Additionally the outgoing Delegate may strategically resign from the WA for this purpose.
Questions/comments/suggestions for improvement welcome.
