It's a list of the last songs played on our computers. It's done by this website:last.fm You install a plugin, and it tracks the songs you play and gives you recommendations.

I tried out the Last.fm player recently, and it really gave me good suggestions. Which surprised me, because my music taste rather varies. But it found a kind of middle ground with what I liked most, which is nice. I'm now starting to tag music, which is tedious but I'm just curious what is going to happen then Smile

On a mildly random note, should I go with Realplayer, QuickTime or WMA? I know Google recommends Realplayer, but quicktime can play Itunes music and WMA is all like windows-put together.

Thankfully, Foxy Tunes can handle ANY of them!

I guess it depends where you get your music from, and what you use it for. If you have an iPod or purchase a lot of music from iTunes, might as well use iTunes because you don't have a choice. Otherwise I don't think it matters.

You might also consider:
I know a lot of people like Winamp because it can handle different types of files. And I had Songbird for a while, which was nice too.

That being said, I use WMP. It works for what I need it for: playing music and ripping and burning CDs. I don't download from iTunes when I can avoid it (I generally buy the CD/vinyl) and all my files are .wma, which works on my Zune.

I'm not using last.fm, BUT I am currently obsessed with CBCRadio3. It's a treasure trove of Canadian indie deliciousness.

Going to see Houndmouth in concert next week. I also learned of radiooooo.com last week and have really loved listening to '50s Cuban jazz and '70s Polish pop.

The last concert that I went to, a few weeks back, was 'Sinatra, Satin, & Swing'... A tribute to Sinatra & his colleagues of the 1950s, with 1 male singer, 1 female singer, & a big band.
Very enjoyable.
