What Are You Listening To
#51

Well, you almost got it right.

It's simply "Cold Clear Water", as "klares" is derived from "klar" (=clear) and this is the nominative neuter singular form it takes when standing without a definite article.
Compare: kaltes klares Wasser - das kalte klare Wasser

See, you didn't need hints Smile

Okay, looking at my current playlist, try understanding these songs:
Perfekte Welle (for starters)
Symphonie (still doable)
Nur Ein Wort (fu..reaking hard, meguesses)
*German music pimping*

der / die / das ... are those called definitive articles?

You'll love this ... when German bands use one of those in their name, often in the US they are filed under "D".

So that song would become:

-D-
"das kalte klare Wasser" if it included the article

Though an English band like the Cure would would under -C-. Crazy!

Exactly Smile.
Of course, they're just the nominative singular, don't forget all the other cases!
Declension kawaii Big Grin !

According to babelfish (cheating, and only right 50% of the time), that means "Only one word".

As for the music filing, French music ends up getting filed the same way: anything starting with "le, la, les" (The definitive articles) are filed under "L".

Ce n'est que les maudits anglais qui ne prennent pas le temps de comprendre les langues des autres. Mais sur l'autre c?t?, je suis moi-m?me un de ces maudits anglais, donc pourquoi je dis ce genre des choses?

Cool, I understood a lot of that without using Freetranslation Big Grin

Now here is my probably horrific French, which I even cheated some on (Which, in a way, proves your point Tongue):

Et je suis d'accord, nous sommes trop paresseux de soigner apprendre des langues autres. Comme ceci, ce n'est pas la bonne fran?ais. C'est regrettable.

My mp3 player counts "the" as a T, so maybe everything does that.

EDIT: This is turning into a language discussion...so I'm listening to...actually nothing right now :o

The "T" depends on the software... some count it, some don't.

As for actually listening to something, can't say I am either. Although I do have "Apparitions" by Matthew Good Band running through my head.... which is where my title comes from...

C'?taient les paroles dont j'ai parl?; le titre n'est pas trop difficile je pense.

And currently listening to: "Von Hier an Blind" - Wir sind Helden ("Aveugle d'Ici" - Nous Sommes (des) H?ros)

Well, folks, you may have seen I've been online TONS lately! And, believe it or not, it wasn't all to do with Nationstates. My work with Universal Music/Interscope had me on full gear the last little while, but today was the BIG pay-off. The label I'm employed under, Ex Noctem Nacimur Music, launched a world-wide premier today via KROQ radio. The online orchestration of this thing was HUGE.

Anyways, the single released today was Miss Murder by AFI, from the upcoming album Decemberunderground. It's an excellent tune by an oh-so-excellent band. I hope you guys enjoy it when it makes it to your local stations.

Three bands, one of which is two friends of mine:

Nuclear Twins,
C/A/T (my friends), &
H.M.B.

They are all electronic bands, with H.M.B. being the largest of the three and still being a small band.

It was fun.
