Yep, I've got Norton too. And a combination of Yahoo (where everything I had to give my email address to goes) and Gmail (for things I know aren't spam) which both work well at stopping unauthorized downloads.
As far as I know, I don't go anywhere that would have adware, and it's only this site that I get strange pop-ups on. I'm just going to switch to using Firefox for NS. FF and IE7 are basically the same thing anyway.
