Now I'm a real politician
#1

Yesterday I was installed as a member of the city council together with two other new members who took up the vacant seats left by the aldermen. Not only does that mean I am now really a politician, it has the added bonus of more coffee during meetings as well as bottles of coke, fanta and spa. Needless to say the seat is a lot comfier than the public seat.

On the picture the point where I swore the oath (actually called the "promise" because I chose the godless version, the oath being the one with god)

A quick who's who, from left to right:
our alderman, the new christian democrat member, the new labour member, the mayor (with necklace), me, and the deputy person-who-assists-the-council-members below the portait of the queen.
