Failed: Repeal "banning The Use Of Landmines"
#3

On the one hand, the original resolution is badly written, and feasibly could be said to not ban land mines ("For this reason the immediate banning of the use of landmines in conflicts carried out by UN counties is called for." Called for, not mandates, requires, etc.) Also, many of the problems are covered by the Demining survey already passed. On the other hand, I really don't see a replacement coming in, rather, I see the DEFCON trying to ram in a blocker. Though I would like to see the problems with this resolution fixed, I don't think it will happen. Against.
