If I weren't UN delegate at the moment, I'd be voting against this proposal as it is written.
It is one thing to have a proposal that protects the principle of the right to divorce, in those societies that have government sanction for legitimate marriages rather than solely religious institutions. It is an entirely different matter where the proposal contains so much detail.
This is not one of those topics where "one size fits all" and in my judgment the resolution goes too far.
I will of course, cast the region's vote in accordance with the majority's will late Saturday night, so get your votes on record before then.
