The following statement was released by the Office of the Defence Secretary of Lauchenoiria.
"Yesterday a large balloon passed over Lauchenoirian airspace. We believe this balloon to be a surveillance device sent to make observations of our territory. We consider this a violation of our territory and condemn those who sent it. While we did not take action against the balloon, this was because risk assessments conducted could not guarantee a lack of damage to ground property and a risk to civilians potentially on the ground. However, following this incursion, our military specialists are working on protocols for response should a similar device return in the future. This will not be tolerated again."
