The Kaijan Affair
#37

Akuma Mohamed was making himself some tea in his home when he heard a knock at his door. He opened the door and before him stood a man in black clothes with a camo scarf covering his head
“Rejoice, citizen, you have been freed by government tyranny,” he said
“Who am I being freed by,” he asked
“The kaijan league you have now been freed from oppression”
“What happens if I don't want to be freed,” he asked
“Then you will be dealt with accordingly” he replied
Akuma walked past the man and into the town square. In the middle of the square, a man with a microphone stood on a podium.
“Citizens rejoice as you have freed by the Kaijan League you needs will now be filled”
“However I must warn you if you dare support the oppressive government you will face the wrath of the people of Kaijan”.
Around him, jeeps parked outside homes and stores, and more forces with the same gear came out guns drawn. Some went into stores then brought out the owners to the main square.

A few hours later as Akuma was eating his dinner he heard a knock at his door.
“Join us downtown,” the same man from earlier said
Out of curiosity, he walked to the main square once again.
Then he saw what was going on.

4 people with blindfolds over the eyes stood in the square the hands tied behind their back
“These people have betrayed the people of Kaijan” the same speaker from earlier said
“For these crimes, they will be executed,” he said as he grabbed his gun
“Men, fire”

Akuma could not look as he heard the sounds of gunfire and even the cheers of some onlookers. He just stood there in shock just pondering what had happened. He had to get out of here he thought, however, he wondered if the central government would do any better. He walked away from the square back into his home.
