Released video shows Olivia Pierre kidnapped by Maximusians

A video that has been publicly released by the Council of Kerlile appears to show Olivia Pierre, the eldest daughter of Councillor Pauline Pierre, being held captive by Maximusian forces. The video was sent to Councillor Pierre yesterday morning. The Council will tomorrow debate sanctions against LOM in response to this kidnapping, and have accused LOM of contravening the Haven Accords.

Olivia Pierre has been missing since the middle of July, when she was kidnapped by unknown persons while in Lauchenoiria. Kerlile and Lauchenoiria have been cooperating on an investigation into her disappearance since that time, however no progress had been made until the delivery of this video. An investigation into how the footage was delivered is also underway.

The video shows Olivia Pierre restrained, while a voice who claims to have fought in the Second Lauchenoirian Civil War in 2018 threatens to “punish” Councillor Pierre and the Council for their actions in Lauchenoiria. It talks of Kerlile getting “off way too easy” following the Lauchenoirian conflict. The voice also claims to be sending a “message”, and says that Councillor Pierre will “never see” Olivia again.

The Council has accused LOM of contravening the Haven Accords, which all parties to the conflict agreed to abide by in 2018. The Accords state that all disputes resulting from the war will be resolved at the Truth & Reconciliation Commission, which delivered its verdicts in July 2019, and that these verdicts would be binding. The Council has said they consider this kidnapping to be in violation of these terms.

Every member of the Council has condemned the kidnapping and has called on LOM to release Olivia immediately. The Council are also calling for an international investigation into the kidnapping of Olivia Pierre, and for signatories to the Haven Accords, and other nations, to impose economic sanctions or other penalties on Libertas Omnium Maximus until such time as Olivia Pierre is released.
