Rouchard's gunplay would prove beneficial, as one of the assassins would go down. The one who Tēxoccoatl was fighting slashed at the Crown Prince, ripping through the shoulder of his dress shirt. A thin line of blood began trailing down his arm. Tēxoccoatl let out a particularly vile Xiomeran curse and pivoted, striking at the assassin's neck to avoid the body armor. The assassin had to dodge back from his strike.
The other assassin was dealing with the effects of the dagger Rouchard had hit him with, and the ashtray that Nōlinyauh bounced off his head. Nevertheless, he was still on his feet, and took a clumsy stab at Rouchard.
Rouchard deftly used the assassin's clumsy movements against them, grabbing their wrist and twisting, intending to disarm them. The sharp blade dug into the skin on Rouchard's arm, making her grit her teeth. "Jūe beitain chaditèa paur Angelus". She muttered the age old Eirian insult 'You will be hunted by Angels' before leveraging several kicks against her opponent, to both legs and torso. She tried to block any incoming blow, her main objective to disarm and disable.
The assassin who had tried to attack Tēxoccoatl, in his dodge, had misjudged where he was placing his feet. The body of the assassin that Rouchard had shot tripped him up. Seeing his opponent fall off-balance, the Crown Prince took advantage of his weak position. His dagger found its original target, as Tēxoccoatl slammed into the assassin and drove him into the ground. Hastily scrambling to his feet, he approached the last assassin from behind, helping Rouchard finish him off.
As the last assassin fell, Tēxoccoatl gave the Eirian a quick smile. "Thanks for the help...you're pretty handy in a fight," he said, before his gaze started to waver. Without warning, he fell to the ground.
Tlanexchel and his reinforcements, having arrived just in time to see the Crown Prince fell, ran inside to help him. "He barely has a scratch, what the hell," the General muttered, before picking up the dagger the assassin had used to slash Tēxoccoatl's shoulder. He sniffed the blade, then threw the dagger away in alarm. "Tlumala," he hissed. The tlumala plant, native to Manauia and Cenotillo Islands, was the source of a potent poison favored by Xiomeran assassins. "Do not touch the blade, touch the handle only," Tlanexchel warned as another soldier moved to pick the dagger up.
"General, the Secretary has been shot," one of the Jaguar Warriors shouted, as another desperately tried to stop the bleeding from Nōlinyauh's chest. Tlanexchel shouted into his headset for medics to run to the office.
