Einhard Messerschmidt Hospitalized

Einhard Messerschmidt, CEO of the Monolith Manufacturing Corporation, has been hospitalized following a medical emergency that took place during a board meeting. According to witnesses interviewed by the NSBN, Mr. Messerschmidt had complained of a pain in his abdomen to one of his assistants shortly before collapsing at the table to the shock of those present. ADVENT's private medical staff was able to respond quickly and transferred him to a corporate medical facility, where he is currently being treated.

Dr. Alexandria Strauss quickly organized a press conference to brief the public on the current situation. NSBN journalists were able to gleam more information on the situation after the end of the conference.

REPORTER: Does the Monolith corporation have any current plans for the future regarding the CEO position, should Mr. Messerschmidt not recover?

STRAUSS flashes a practiced, assuring smile to the camera.

STRAUSS: Rest assured that the Board has contingency plans in place should an event like this take place, although it is far too soon for us to say anything concrete. Do not worry - Monolith is in good hands as we wait for Mr. Messerschmidt's recovery.

REPORTER: Do you have anything to say about the rumors of Mr. Messerschmidt's failing health?
