GAME WEEK 1 RESULTS
Group A
Lauchenoiria vs Serriel
Lauchenoiria managed to defeat Serriel in a 2-0 match at Sherfield Central Stadium, the first to kick off in the tournament. Action immediately started, with Serriel's Çelik Sadak driving a shot only marginally wide in the 2nd minute. The match cooled down for most the first half, with glimpses of Lauchenoirian and Serrilian brilliance displayed. Serriel's Kalen Hegazy was sent off for a rash two-footed tackle on Lauchenoiria's Augusto Soler. In the 44th minute, a series of passes stringed together by the Lauchenoirian midfield opened up gaps in the Serrielian defence, with Augusto Soler managing to take advantage, running in between Hincal Basar and Aram Hafe to latch onto a low cross, controlling it deftly and sending the ball into the top left corner of the net with a majestically placed shot.
The torment did not end for the Serrielian defence, with the Lauchenoirians peppering shot after shot, demanding the attention of the experienced Tevrat Okyar. In the 60th minute, an alleged handball incident in the Lauchenoirian penalty box by Adam Macey forced the use of VAR, with the VAR handlers determining that there was no handball, much to the dismay of the Serrielians. Another break finally opened up for the Lauchenoirians, with a devastating counter attack resulting from a squandered Serrielian corner being fully utilized. The defence was caught completely off guard with Joey Gorbold and Caelan Potter bursting through the lines at blistering pace. The pair proceeded with a series of one-two passes up to the Serrielian Penalty box. Tevrat Okyar, panicking at the situation, rushed out of his line, with Potter fully utilizing the situation by chipping he ball over the keeper's head to make it 2-0 for the Lauchenoirians.
New Lusitania and the Algarves vs Cape Auria
Cape Auria's defence managed to shut out New Lusitania's famed attack, with the score ending 0-0 at the Mara X Arena. The game started off slowly, with the New Lusitanian midfield struggling to disorient the Cape Aurian defence. An opportunity showed itself for the New Lusitanians, with the Cape Aurians conceding a freekick in a dangerous position. Pedro Santos, the New Lusitanian Free-kick merchant, was unable to convert the freekick; with his shot being parried out for a corner. The two teams continued to spar fiercely, with both managers reinforcing their midfield with fresh reinforcements.
The second half resembled the first although with increased boldness being shown by the Cape Aurian Attack. Fatigue seemed to be a problem for the New Lusitanians, with their fullbacks continuously being exploited by the Cape Aurian wingers. In the 75th Minute Rui Patríce shoved Cameron Carter in the box during a Cape Aurian corner. The referee pointed to the point, ignoring protests from the New Lusitanian team. Gerald Rutherford stood, one on one with Rui Patríce, who braced for the shot. The referee blew his whistle, and Gerald ran up, unleashing a wonder-bolt of a strike which devastatingly hit the crossbar, leaving Rui bewildered in the center of the goal. The remainder of the game was slow, with both teams settling in for a draw.

Group B
Mansilla vs Millintica
Millintica came on top in this battle of Rhodes Park, managing to grab two goals with no reply versus Mansilla. The deadlock was soon broken, with Hori Haare capitalizing on a blunder by the Mansillan keeper, slotting home from close range. The Millinticans soon grabbed another in the 36th minute, with Hori Haare scoring a brace with a viscous knuckle-ball free-kick, leaving Camillo Palmiotto completely bewildered. The remainder of the match, as well as the rest of the game was a desperate attempt by the Millinticans to avoid conceding, managing to do so, as there were no decisive chances made by the Mansillans for the remainder of the match.
Gonhog Vs Gnejs
The fierce Gonhogian-Gnejsian continued as the Gonogians came on top in a 1-0 win at LegionAir Arena. The Gnejsians soon bean to dominate with chance after chance being created by the Gnejsian midfield. In the 37th Minute Omar Lillestrøm managed to head one home, but VAR decided otherwise, with indications that the target man was offside, much to the protest of the Gnejsians.
The second half saw a change in fortunes for the Gonhogians, with the Gnejsian defence succumbing to Gonhogian pressure on more than one occasion. In the 70th minute the deadlock was broken with Carl Bristow scoring from 25 yards out with a wonder strike, leaving the Gnejsian keeper stranded. The remainder of the match was slow, yet calculated sparring by both teams, with the Gnejsians failing to equalize y the game's end.

Group C
Zerphique vs Trive
The Trivians managed to defeat the Zerphiqueans in a drab 1-0 win at the Millennium Stadium. The match was quickly dominated by the Trivians, with the Zerphiquean defenders being forced to perform dangerous tackles within their own box. Markus Fedorov stood out as the main man for the Trivians, as he spearheaded several attacking moves which were sadly parried away by the keeper or halted on time by the defenders. The Zerphiqueans tried to muster up one or two chances but were ultimately unsuccessful, with the Zerhiquean Strikers completely outclassed by their opposing defenders.
The second half continued in a similar fashion, with the Zerphiqueans on the ropes, being hit with continuous volleys by the Trivian attackers. A decisive breakthrough was finally achieved by the Trivians, with Dmitri Konev placing a beautiful through pass which landed at the feet of Roberto Ivanov, who weaved through the Zerpiquean defence, even managing to nutmeg Samuel Musembi on his way on goal. A viscous driven low shot was enough for Ivanov, who wheeled away in celebration, the Trivian supporters erupting in celebration. The rest of the match saw an increase in Zerphiquean attacks, with Lazaro Khayyam managing to grab two shots demanding the keeper's attention.
Eiria vs Legionas
The Argonauts stood firm against the Winter Tigers, with the end result of this spectacle of a game ending 1-1 at the King William II stadium. The Match started off hot, with Christian Kowalski managing to put Marcus Zervas in on goal, with Marcus unfortunately being dispossessed by Grayson Rollins outside the box. The Argonauts soon went into attack, with Luc De Leroy and Tyler Frenya-Sulet initiating a counter attack in the 21st minute which led to a wonderful goal by Argonaut Talisman, Henry Felenat, which was ruled offside by VAR. The match continued with the Argonauts beginning to dominate possession, creating chance after chance against the Legionite Defense.
The second half saw a change of tactics by the Winter Tigers, with Sir William Stevenson changing formations to a more attacking 4-3-3 formation. The Argonauts, undeterred, managed to capitalize on a devastating miss-kick by Ryan Westnall. Grayson Rollins, picked up the loose ball and sent a fiery strike into the top right corner. The Eirian fans erupted in celebratory chants and taunts against the Legionites. They were soon forced to eat their own words with the Winter Tigers equalizing only ten minutes later. The Legionite Midfield threw together a string of wonderful passes, with the attack soon falling to Christian Kowalski, who latched nto a lobbed pass to acrobatically strike the airborne ball, sending it into the bottom right corner of the net. Overwhelmed by emotion, the talisman took off his shirt during celebration, of which he received a booking. the match ended with both teams vehemently defending their halves, content with a draw.

Group D
Assamland vs Libertas Omnium Maximus
Assamland dominated the Maximusians in a 2-1 victory at the King Rumius I Arena. The Maximusian attack initially began strong, with Braden Van Allen hitting the post in the 7th minute. They were soon outclassed by the Assamlandians who rallied together after Van Allen's scare. The deadlock was soon broken in the 26th Minute, with Sjaak Driessen driving a fierce shot from thirty yards out, catching the Maximusian keeper off guard. The match soon simmered down, with no major plays made for the remaining minutes of the first half as well as the first few minutes of the second half.
The match picked up again in the 70th minute with a classic tiki-taka move initiated by the Assamlandians left the entire Maximusian team stranded allowing Martien Nijland to slot home from close range. The Maximusians rallied together and managed to initiate a few attacking moves which paid off when in the 84th minute when they managed to capitalize from a squandered Assamlandian attacking move, overwhelming the over-extended Assamlandian defence with Luke Brookshire receiving a whipped low cross of which he back-heeled into the net. The rest of the match was a series of futile attempts by the Maximusian attackers to equalize, with the Assamlandians parking the bus for the remainder of the match.
Laeral vs Xiomera
The Huenyan Jaguars, while being able to maul the Laeralite defence, were unable to grab the decisive goal, with the game ending 1-1 at the Erickson Stadium. The first half was quiet, with no major chances being created apart from a wild shot by Ahuatlatl, which hit the cross-bar, almost catching Benjamin Germain off his line.
The second half was far more lively, with the Huenyan Jaguars creating three total clear cut chances within the first few minutes of the half. Surprisingly though, it was the Laeralites who broke the deadlock in the 56th minute, with the Laeralite midfield creating a beautiful round of play, stringing together a series of passes opening up the Xiomeran defence. Alejandro de Armas unleashed a placed shot outside the box which came in off the crossbar, stunning Argozcatl. The Xiomerans regrouped and attacked harder at the Laeralite lines which stood firm until the 72nd minute when Moon Cheng-han fouled Matzina, creating a free kick of which the Jaguars pounced on decisively. A lobbed cross from Matzina landed at the feet of Tonocui who placed a shot towards the center of the net, passing through Germain's legs as it went in. The remainder of the match was effectively a battle of the midfield, with the ball not even entering any penalty box for the reminder of the game.
