Monolith Manufacturing Addresses Corruption Accusations
In recent weeks the National Shuellian Broadcasting Network has received credible information regarding widespread corruption present within the upper stratum of Monolith Manufacturing. Rumors of illicit transactions, rogue traders, and weaponry being sold on the black market to rival nations have been circulating throughout the Incorporated States in the past month, with many looking at the CEO of Monolith - Einhard Messerschmidt. NSBN reporters have been able to interview Mr. Messerschmidt and other high-ranking Monolith personnel, with the transcripts below.

REPORTER: Mr. Messerschmidt! Do you have anything to say about the allegations of corruption inside Monolith Manufacturing?

MESSERSCHMIDT grimaces for a moment.

MESSERSCHMIDT: These accusations are completely false! Monolith has had no history of this in the past, and anybody claiming that this corporation is corrupt is guilty of slander!

In addition to Mr. Messerschmidt, NSBN reporters have been able to secure an interview with Dr. Alexandria Strauss, a heavy industry researcher with Monolith that has considerable influence over Monolith's branch in Vertansk.

ALEXANDRIA STRAUSS stands behind a podium, clad in a modest black suit with a pin of the Shuellian crow fastened to it. She's well-composed compared to Messerschmidt, and younger, appearing to be in her mid-30s.

STRAUSS: With the briefing out of the way, we can now move to the questions.

REPORTER: Can you shed any light on the recent corruption accusations?

STRAUSS: Of course. I can assure you that Monolith Manufacturing is taking these accusations quite seriously. Although Mr. Messerschmidt has been quite tired recently, we're working to resolve the issue internally.

STRAUSS: My colleague in the Monolith security division can likely address these questions better than I can, one moment.

STRAUSS steps away from the podium as a large Vertanskan man clad in a uniform steps up to replace her.

KATAYEV: I am Yegor Katayev. My greetings. The Chief Security Officer has placed his trust in me for this internal investigation, and I promise you that this issue will be solved in a matter of days.

KATAYEV steps down as STRAUSS takes the podium once more.

STRAUSS: While we cannot confirm that weaponry has been sold to groups such as the Free State or UNIDADE, we can assure the public that Monolith does not and will not condone these actions. As Mr. Katayev said, we can assure you that Monolith Manufacturing will root out any corruption as soon as possible.

REPORTER: Do you have anything to say about the rumors of Mr. Messerschmidt's failing health?

STRAUSS: Mr. Messerschmidt is getting up in age, but trained professionals are looking after him 24/7. Any further questions?

The feed stops as STRAUSS points at another NSBN reporter.

The full press conference shall be televised on NSBN channel 4 and on our website, including an interview with Dr. Diana Werther of the Monolith Research Division concerning supposed leaks in the corporation.
