Department of Health Reveals Extinction Event
Following multiple investigations from the highly trained staff of the Department of Health, authorities have been able to determine the cause of these mass mortality events. It appears that a large group of fish was trapped in the Honig River and asphyxiated due to lack of oxygen, killing them all in a short time. Experts believe that the odd nature of the death was due to the consumption of poisoned or otherwise contaminated foodstuffs, with grains being the suspected "killer crop." Further information has not been revealed to the public.

President Recieves 20 Minute Standing Ovation
The 5th Annual Veteran's Conference ended today, having been delayed due to adenovirus-related concerns - with the elderly being especially at risk due to weak immune systems. Veterans of the Civil War and more recent conflicts gathered today in order to discuss their concerns and recent political changes in the Incorporated States. Prominent speakers at the conference praised President Sloan's ability in quickly shutting down the spread of AD14 and the increase in health benefits to elderly veterans due to their service to the state. At the conclusion of the conference, a tribute to President Sloan was called.

The hundreds of attendees had already risen to their feet to applaud every mention of President Sloan's name, but a standing ovation had not yet taken place. For 5 minutes, the standing ovation was sustained, with NSBN journalists and government staff noting that even though many in the crowd looked as if their arms were tired, nobody wanted to be the first to stop clapping for our glorious leader. "My arthritis made it painful to clap, but I loved President Sloan too much to stop!" said one Mr. Milton, a veteran of the Vertansk Intervention. After some 15 minutes, members of the audience began to faint. One elderly man had collapsed and was carried out on a stretcher by private paramedics standing by, making a full recovery shortly after. Finally, after 20 minutes had passed, General Bretschneider, a prominent officer who had fought during the Civil War, sat down in his seat and others followed suit.

"President Sloan has done great things for the Shuellian people - I'm surprised this doesn't happen more often!" Said one NSBN commentator.

Advent Private Security, best known for providing high-quality bodyguards to politicians and celebrities and a prestigious cybersecurity program, has been rebranded following their acquirement of Gold Shield Medical - one of many "private medical services" that have recently been sprouting up in large numbers. Advent, which has often claimed that none of their clients have been successfully assassinated, has shown interest in acquiring a private aid company for multiple months - and is known to have close ties with multiple other PACs. Private EMTs are able to carry armaments and have been known to purchase civilian helicopters for rapid takeoff and landing. Advent Private Security, now known as Advent Private Services, is now able to both prevent assassination attempts and ensure that one they cannot stop does not end in the death of a client.
