The Empress took to the podium, giving Prime Minister Moretti a warm smile and handshake before beginning to speak.
"First, I would like to thank Prime Minister Moretti for his kind and thoughtful words. The Xiomeran people greatly value our friendship with the people of Legionas. As close neighbors, we have long worked together and helped each other, through good times and difficult ones. It is also the hope of the Xiomeran people that our friendship will continue, and will grow stronger with each passing year. The agreements we have reached here today will lay the foundation to realize those hopes for both our peoples."
Yauhmi smiled, turning to look around the gardens. "I am also quite honored to be the first world leader to visit your magnificent new capital. This city represents a sublime accomplishment, one well worth being proud of. As we recently announced, the Xiomeran Empire is seeking to build several new cities of our own in undeveloped areas of the Empire. We will look to Aunistria as inspiration for what we can achieve in our own efforts. Prime Minister Moretti has graciously offered to provide Xiomera with experts and other assistance as we plan and build our new cities, and we are honored to accept this offer. These new cities which rise from the soil of Xiomera will stand as a tangible symbol of the friendship and cooperation between us."
"The other agreements we have reached today, on matters of trade and defense, will also serve as a tangible symbol of that friendship. Together, both of our nations will prosper and grow stronger. We are honored to walk this road together with the fair, hardworking and noble people of Legionas. While this is my first visit to your grand new capital, I sincerely hope it will not be the last. I would like to once again thank King Alexander and Prime Minister Moretti for being such wonderful hosts, and the Legionite people for allowing me to visit your beautiful country," the Empress added, before handing the podium back over to the Prime Minister.
As the press conference concluded, the Empress smiled and waved to the cameras. She would spend one more day in Legionas, enjoying her visit, before proceeding to Eiria for the last leg of her trip.
