ZAMASTANIAN FORCES DESTROY GLADYSYNTHIAN TANK
Officials say the Tank Crossed the Danaska River Border

Zamastanian forces have reportedly destroyed a Gladysynthian tank that crossed the Danaska River on the border, entering Zamastanian territory. This is the first "intentional" exchange of fire in the week long escalation of tensions that has claimed five Zamastanian lives and, as of tonight's events, two Gladysynthians.

The Gladysynthian forces are undertaking what they call "anti-terror operations" against the G.P.F.F. rebel separatist group in Southern Gladysynthia, and some of their forces have accidentally fired upon Zamastanian forces on the oposing side of the border. President Anya Bishop withdrew a significant portion of soldiers after four were killed when their vehicle hit a Gladysynthian mine last week.

It is unconfirmed as to why the Gladysynthian tank crossed the shallow river, but regardless, this event has greatly heightened the already dangerous tensions. There are dramatic calls for peace and withdrawal from politicians on both sides of the aisle, as well as some who are calling for even more escalation against Gladysynthian forces as well as rebel forces.
