Xiomera's government wouldn't openly involve itself in such a conflict, but would be open to secretly helping whichever side in the conflict would be willing to cough up the most money (or would offer Xiomera the best advantages in future trade and diplomatic connections). Xiomerans are extremely pragmatic and to them, this would be all business. Ideology isn't especially important to them.
Xiomeran assistance could range from supplying provisions, weapons and "advisors" all the way to sending mercenaries (or Xiomeran soldiers masquerading as mercenaries) to help whichever side best suits Xiomeran goals. Admittedly, Xiomera would be a smallish nation at that time, so they probably couldn't tip the scales decisively for either side. But they could definitely make things interesting
