Smaller National Parties
Feminist Party
The Feminist Party is rumoured to be funded by the Matriarchy of Kerlile, a totalitarian dictatorship that borders Lauchenoiria. The party officially stands for women’s rights and ensuring an end to street harassment and all forms of sexism that continue to permeate Lauchenoirian society.
The party is economically centrist, and is generally socially liberal, however supports authoritarian government. It is led by Katherine Wright, who supported Suleman Chaher’s government during the civil war.
Social Issues
They want to prioritise women’s health, maintain access to free abortions, research period pains rather than male problems such as erectile dysfunction, segregate the educational system by gender so that boys cannot mistreat the girls, provide extra funding to girls’ schools.
Economic Issues
They want to increase spending on women’s issues, cut all funding for sports, and believe in respecting the capitalism referendum mandate.
Security Issues
They want to keep all pre-war gun restrictions in place, military spending must increase to defend Lauchenoiria against Coalition forces which would seek to interfere with our internal affairs, surveillance powers must increase to ensure the safety of the population, including CCTV everywhere to catch any acts of violence against women.
International Issues
They want to cut ties with patriarchal countries, refuse to trade with anyone without women’s rights laws, reconcile with Kerlile, give immigration priority to women, discourage more men from moving here as they can’t be trusted.
Constitutional Issues
They want to explicitly write women’s rights into the constitution, require at least 50% of the parliament to be women.
In the aftermath of the war, they say: “the war is a result of male aggression and this is why further feminist policies are needed to destroy the patriarchy.”
Lauchenoiria First
Lauchenoiria First is a far-right, isolationist political party characterised by their extreme social conservatism and their anti-immigration policies. They are the only political party with any representation in Lauchenoiria in favour of withdrawing from the World Assembly.
The party is economically right wing and very socially conservative. They are led by the controversial Paul Doberman who is known for spreading conspiracy theories about other nations.
Social Issues
They want to privatise some aspects of the NHS, and ban immigrants from using health facilities to crack down on health tourism. They also want to massively cut education funding, allow private schools to fill the gap, give said private schools tax exemption, and believe if disabled people cannot function without help they should be in institutions.
Economic Issues
They want to implement extreme austerity measures to eliminate the deficit immediately and reduce reliance on foreign forces, immediately end the transition period, full capitalism now.
Security Issues
They want to allow all gun ownership, massively increase military spending to defend against the neo-imperialist forces that would threaten our sovereign borders, such as Kerlile, increase surveillance so criminal elements, many of whom are immigrants, can be caught and punished.
International Issues
They want to cut all ties with everyone, withdraw from the WA, do not give aid to other countries and refuse it if offered to us, ban immigration, discourage native-born Lauchenoirians from emigrating.
Constitutional Issues
They want to grant the president vastly more powers, state explicitly that Lauchenoiria is sovereign and state that any foreign incursion is tantamount to a declaration of war.
In the aftermath of the war, they say: “the war shows that foreigners are always out to get us, to protect ourselves we must ban them and cut ties.”
Left Alliance
The Left Alliance, founded during the communist regime, began as a haven for those who secretly opposed communism. Over the years, it has grown and faded from popularity, and has taken various shapes. It presently contains communists and socialists who are opposed to authoritarianism, as characterised by the Chaher regime during the war.
The party is economically left wing and socially liberal. It is currently led by Damian Andrés, who is a member of the regional parliament on Butterfly Island.
Social Issues
They want to keep the NHS, keep private healthcare illegal, increase NHS funding. They want to keep the current education system and ensure all buildings are fully accessible by 2025.
Economic Issues
They want to increase government spending and re-run the capitalism referendum.
Security Issues
They want to permit gun ownership with a licence & background checks, cut military spending, focus on programmes that will help the country rebuild after the war rather than threaten to start a new one, and believe in the interests of privacy and preventing authoritarian government, surveillance must be restricted.
International Issues
They want to have friendly relations with other democracies, but continue to restrict trade to ensure the rich can’t get richer. They also want to limit immigration, and give priority to those of working age and ability, no restrictions on emigration.
Constitutional Issues
They believe in a bicameral parliament, extra anti-coup protections, require each branch of government to check each other quite excessively.
In the aftermath of the war, they say: “the communists are authoritarians, and only the Left Alliance can provide economic equality without a dictatorship.”
Pacifist Party
The Pacifist Party is a new political party, founded in November 2018 in the aftermath of the civil war, with a mission to prevent Lauchenoiria ever being involved in a war again. They have no representation, however are currently polling at 12% and look likely to gain several seats in the next national elections, hence their inclusion on this list.
The party is economically centrist and socially liberal, and is led by Samantha Clavell, a lifelong peace activist.
Social Issues
They want to keep the NHS fully funded, allow private alternatives, keep the current school system, ban military recruitment in schools, and believe we need to divert funds to ensure disabled people can fully access everything.
Economic Issues
They want to cut defence spending, keep all other things at the same level, and re-run the capitalism referendum.
Security Issues
They want to ban all guns completely, cut military spending to almost zero, remove any chance of further conflict and rely on diplomacy in any future situation, government surveillance should be very limited, as privacy is important, but so is stopping any group who might start violence.
International Issues
They want to maintain friendly diplomatic relations at all costs, no restrictions either way, unless the immigrants are from a country that bans emigration, then send them back to avoid conflict (this refers mainly to Kerlile, which currently frequently demands Lauchenoiria returns their runaway citizens).
Constitutional Issues
Lauchenoiria should become constitutionally neutral, like Sanctaria, and forbidden from starting a war.
In response to the war, they say: “we must slash military spending, get rid of all guns, and make it so that having another war is quite impossible.”
Lauchenoirian Democratic Alliance
The LDA is a new political party, set up as an alternative for centrists to the Liberals, for those who did not agree with Leanna Walker and Laura Moore’s actions in the war, and prefer a centrist party that does not put lives in jeopardy in that way.
More information on the LDA to follow. Possibly. For... spoilery reasons.
