Northeast of Annatown, 0400 hours
Private 07011 readied his military gear, checking his rifle and backpack for what seemed like the eightieth time. As part of the 1st Division, his job was to march into Annatown, hopping from house to house, until they met up with the 2nd division outside the shopping district, Cuadrado de Mariposa. There, they would wrap around the shopping center to the north, while the 2nd division wrapped around south to the Parliament building. While this was going on, the 3rd Tank Division would move from the south, attempting to cut off the rebels from escaping through the bridges. After all was said and done, the rebels would be surrounded and Annatown would be in government hands.
07011's sergeant entered the tent where the squad was situated, "Alright squad, captain is outside right now, he'll tell us what's happening."
The team exited the large tent to where a crescent was formed around the captain of their platoon. The grass beneath them was trampled further as they walked over to the group, which was loud and bustling. The captain, seeing that the last of his platoon had walked over, raised his hand to silence the crowd, then spoke, "Alright, listen up. We'll be heading in with the rest of the division to the local hospital where the division will split up. We've been given orders to go with Command Group Alpha
and a couple of other platoons to go to the shopping center, where we will infiltrate the rebels main force. We'll also be with some other platoons from the 2nd division. Are we clear?"
The group responded unanimously, "Crystal."
"Good. Prepare to depart at 0500 hours."

East of Annatown, Gonhogian base of operations, 0530 hours
"General, sir!"
Lieutenant General Herman turned away from the projection of Annatown to face the messenger.
"Yes?"
"Almost all of Annatown is in our hands. All divisions have completed their objectives, however they have yet to take the shopping center and the parliament building."
"Excellent. Order the 1st and 2nd divisions to assault the two areas."

As the General Herman's Jeep drove through the somewhat destroyed roads of Annatown, he breathed in a deep breath, the turned to one of his aides.
"Nothing like the smell of gunpowder, eh?" Taking a moment, he continued, "What are the casualty reports?"
"1,051 Gonhogians dead, around 2,300 wounded. An insignificant amount of rebels escaped, however almost all were killed, including one of the ringleaders, Yasin Zaunq."
"Great. Glorious Leader will be pleased to hear of this victory."

"Glorious Leader!"
Glorious Leader looked up, his brandy in his hand.
"Jacobi, come in. What is it?"
"Annatown in Lauchenoiria has been recaptured with low casualties."
Glorious Leader grinned, "Good. Our men are getting to work. Skoden will be a challenge, but these rebels will be easy to crush. Victory certainly will be ours."
