If the system is pretty easy to run, I think that is a great idea. It also could give some nation the chance to be say our IDU Sports Director.
And also allow one nation to host the campionships.

Sounds interesting.... might be fun to have multiple tournaments though- maybe have 4 golf and tennis Grand Slams a month and a few round robin or knockout tournies in football and baseball
