... and now it appears that Land of the Liberals has been part of an attempt to hoodwink the WA, for a second time.
The player behind the original founder of the region has turned up (founding nation having been deleted for rule-breaking way back when), pointing out that LotL was only ever a puppet dumping ground for the DEN (a raiding group). The backers (Unibot and Sedge mainly) have agreed it's not worth pursuing.
I would really prefer to withdraw our FOR vote. If people agree, I'll leave it as an Abstention.
