I'm also against. I was neutral, as it is supposed to be funny, but I don't see the resolution presenting a strong case. Furthermore, the player sponsoring this has been frankly a tad rude to a serious question I had concerning the category.
How is building a massive building a political stability issue?
His defense on the WA forum to another player is that "Max had a silly resolution, I can too!" I'm paraphrasing, but I don't like this last preamble clause:
Quote: Ignoring the findings of a recent census of WA diplomats, revealing a disturbing prevalence among international envoys of "drunks, stoners, weirdos, military fruitcakes, sex addicts, rejects, dear little kiddies, honest family types" and militant machistas;
Furthermore, I see logistical issues with some of the operative clauses:
Quote: - ignoring or delaying requests for office space for weeks on end;
Quote: Stipulates that fair compensation must be granted to nations who willingly, per international agreement, cede part of their territory for this purpose;
Overall, it tries to be funny. It gets that. It also tries to focus on details ... it misses. Frankly it could have stood a lot more work in my opinion.
