IDU Climate Discussion
#1

I think it may be a good idea to start up another discussion on the IDU climate, it would be really good wiki-material to have a good solid IDU climate map.

Well, a good starting point would be to have everybody describe what they would like ... if they have opinions *and* talk about how your climate will impact your neighbors.

Well, I went with Kamloops for Sivaris because it was in the mountains and on about the same latitude as Central Europe, which as I recall was the agreed-on climate in countries on the same latitude as me.

I like that, and would like to keep this climate if I can. But if not, I won't care too much, as long as it's not a really big change.

Until now, I figured Baranxtu would be mostly subtropical, except for the southern tips (basically, the provinces of Qiru, Izana and Leuva) which would be tropical.
In general, something close to Shanghai, but not as crazily hot in the summer Wink

I'd like to keep that but wouldn't mind an adaption, but I wanna keep Baranxtu in a mostly humid climate. Should be somewhat doable with trade winds, currents and whatnot Big Grin

I've been imagining Ceorana as having a fairly temperate climate, probably between 45 and 55 degrees N. Preferably low average humidity.

If Saidercray gets its requested place on the map, I'd like to have a sub-tropical climate. And maybe there should be an east wind down there because otherwise most of the rain would be blocked by the mountains in the west.

For nations that don't have spots yet or aren't completely happy with what you have, if you could be moved to a spot (ideally one from an expired nation), what are you looking for?

The description of the spot I've asked for can be found here, it is in the south-east of the region:

The Southern part of DataGenesis i think of as subtropical (much like southern greece) because the inlets in that area remind me of this. However the northern part up near mikitivity is surrounded by mountains. Obviously the mountains have to be cold.

However the central part is in a giant valley between mountains. This would be protected from high winds and the extreme cold, perhaps climate wise somewhat like France or Germany.
