An international conference dedicated to discussing solutions to climate change will take place in Lauchenoiria in August 2020. The conference will last two weeks, from the 3rd to the 21st August. It will take place in the western Lauchenoirian city of Elopolis. Delegates will be hosted in dedicated hotels in the city and the conference will take place at the Elopolis Exhibition and Conference Centre which has been refurbished in recent years.

A number of topics relating to climate change will be discussed, including:
- Emissions targets
- Carbon capture options
- A potential carbon tax

Delegations from all nations in the IDU are warmly invited to attend this conference. Climate Alliance Lauchenoiria will also be inviting international climate groups to send activists to stage demonstrations during the conference and make sure the government is taking the issue seriously. If your nation has activist groups who would want to attend, there is a section for that on the form. If not, you can leave that part of the form blank.

Delegations should note that Elopolis will be very hot at that time of year - an invitation to consider the ramifications of climate change, if you will. Delegations should also note that smoking is still illegal in Lauchenoiria: we won't have a repeat of last time.

There is no limit on the number of puppets, but bear in mind that playing too many puppets at once can be time consuming.

The nation, comprising three small islands (1 volcanic island, 1 coral atoll, and 1 raised coral island), is witnessing first-hand the impacts of climate change and globalized pollution, and seeks to build relationships with other small, island, and/or developing countries in the IDU aiming to mitigate these problems. Eiria also doesn't have as many coal deposits as other nations, so Eiria wasn't too dependent on coal to begin with. The Liberal Eclipse party in power has made several commitments to environmentalist groups, so they want to use this conference to fulfil these promises.

3. The Goginia Agreement which mandated for the the adoption of conservation and management measures designed to ensure the long-term conservation and sustainable use of the fishery resources in the Legionite EEZ and to safeguard the marine eco-systems in which these resources occur while also mandating the creation of a commission for drawing up the standards regulating the sea-worthiness of all vessels that enter the EEZ of the Kingdom.

Any further information: The goal of the Legionite Delegation is to achieve a sweeping environmental accord which would bind all signatories to strictly follow the agreed upon regulations. To achieve this goal, the Kingdom is willing to lobby hard towards its goal as well as using less ethical means.
